closely, observe the Earth history and various geological heritage of Korea

The exhibition area of geology which exhibits the Earth history and various fossil specimens by period allows you to observe, as fossil specimens, especially vestiges of various ancient animals along with bones and footprints of dinosaurs which thrived during the Mesozoic era, and fossils of egg nests. Also, to help visitors understand, the area realizes fossils as Augmented Reality, and thus you can meet dinosaurs, protagonists of fossils, and take pictures with them. You can observe not only fossils but also specimens of the oldest rocks including Columnar Joints, and Rhodolith, and can view the gemstone of ‘Celadonite (磊綠)’, a natural pigment material used in Korean traditional multicolored paintwork on wooden buildings (Dancheong) and, also, the artwork which, with it, a Bulhwajang (Buddhist painter) appointed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage painted in person. Lastly, there is an immersive space allowing you to experience Yongcheondonggul Cave in Jeju-do as if you are in there actually, which is evaluated as the most beautiful cave in the world but you cannot go there as it is managed as a restricted area to the public.
