사진·영상 전시, 가상현실 체험구역 등 마련 / 11.22~27. 창경궁 내 대온실
문화재청 국립문화재연구원(원장 김연수)은 산림청 국립수목원(원장 최영태)과 함께 오는 22일 오후 2시부터 27일까지 6일간 창경궁 내 대온실에서 ‘한국민가, 정원의 발견’ 전시회를 공동 개최한다.

* 민가는 백성의 집으로 궁궐, 관아, 사찰, 향교 등 공공 건축과 구분되는 사적인 건축물로, 넓은 의미로 상류 주택인 궁집과 제택, 중류 주택, 서민 주택을 포함하며, 민가정원은 이들에 딸린 정원을 의미함
국립문화재연구원과 국립수목원은 지난 2020년 1월 한국 정원의 시대별 변화를 기록하고, 정원의 문화재적 가치를 평가하기 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결해 지금까지 전라도, 충청도, 경상도 지역의 지정·등록 민가정원 38개소, 미등록 민가정원 59개소에 대한 현장조사와 사진 및 항공 촬영, 3차원 입력(3D 스캔) 등을 진행한 바 있다.
이번 전시회는 양 기관이 그동안 축적해온 사진과 영상을 선보이고, 체험 구역 등 다양하게 공간을 구성해 한국 민가정원의 아름다움을 발견할 수 있는 기회가 될 것이다.
먼저, 정원의 생동감을 더하는 꽃, 계절의 변화를 보여주는 나무, 세월의 흔적을 느낄 수 있는 담장과 우물 등 민가 정원의 아름다움을 담은 사진과 국립문화재연구원에서 제작한 ‘자연을 품은 한국의 전통정원’ 영상을 관람할 수 있다. 또한 민가정원 가상현실(VR) 체험 구역에서 개인 이동통신(모바일) 기기를 이용하여 정원을 입체적으로 감상할 수 있고, 전시관 외부를 활용해 최신 소재(포스아트)로 만든 사진 촬영 구역(포토존)을 설치해 자유롭게 촬영할 수 있도록 했다.

전시에는 익산 조해영 가옥과 영동 김참판 댁, 논산 명재고택, 함양 일두고택 등 아름답기로 소문난 민가정원의 모습을 담은 사진과 영상, 가상현실이 다양하게 출품됐다.

문화재청 국립문화재연구원은 앞으로도 국립수목원과 함께 한국의 민가정원 가치발굴과 보존관리 방안 마련을 위해 협력체계를 더욱 공고히 하여 공동연구를 추진해 나갈 예정이다.
The Cultural Heritage Administration’s National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage (Director Kim Yeon-Su) and the Korea Forest Service’s National Arboretum (Director Choi Young-Tae) will hold a joint exhibition of ‘Korean Folk House*, Discovery of Garden’ for 6 days from 14:00, 22th to 27th in Grand Greenhouse of Changgyeonggung Palace

* A Folk house refers to a Folk building that is distinct from public architecture such as palaces, government offices, temples, and hyanggyo as the houses of the people. It includes high-class houses such as palace houses and residences/pavilions, middle-class houses, and low-class houses in a broad sense, and folk house garden means the garden attached to them.
The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and the National Arboretum signed an MOU for the historical record of changes in Korean gardens and the evaluation of cultural properties of gardens in January 2020. Field surveys, still and aerial photography, and 3D scanning were conducted until now on 38 designated and registered Folk house gardens and 59 unregistered Folk house gardens in Jeolla, Chungcheong, and Gyeongsang regions.
This exhibition will be an opportunity to discover the beauty of Korean folk house gardens by presenting the photos and videos that both organizations have accumulated over the years and organizing various spaces such as experience areas.
First, Photos that capture the beauty of the folk house garden, such as flowers that add vibrancy to the garden, trees that show the change of seasons, and fences and wells that show traces of time, and a video of ‘Korean traditional garden embracing nature’ produced by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage will be exhibited. In addition, the Folk house garden virtual reality (VR) experience zone has been created so that visitors may enjoy a three-dimensional view of the garden. using their personal mobile devices. A photo zone made of the latest materials(PosART*) will also be created for free shooting using the exterior of the exhibition hall.

Various photos, videos, and virtual reality were exhibited at the exhibition, including private gardens known for their beauty such as Jo Hae-young's house in Iksan, Kim Cham-pan's house in Yeongdong, Myeongjae's house in Nonsan, and Ildugo's house in Hamyang.
